The Amazing Aussie

You really can't understand how amazing an Australian Shepherd is unless you own one.

Zoe, our little cutie, is about 7 months and she is so awesome.

Yesterday Lance bought a lawn mower off KSL but it was up in Sandy (about 30ish minutes away from us.) We took Zoe with us to pick it up, but by the time we got up there we realized it was rush hour time AND they are doing construction on I-15, so we KNEW it would take us around 2 hours to get home. So, we spontaneously decided that we'd just do our date night right then instead of Friday. We went and got something to eat and decided we were going to go see The Karate Kid (which we LOVED) We didn't want to keep Zoe in the car for that long, so we decided I would take her in and if someone stopped me, i'd tell them she was my service dog. Which actually isn't lying or fibbing. The girl at PetSmart told us it was perfectly legal to do so. hahaha. So I put her on a leash, walked in, bought a ticket, the ticket guy took my ticket, I went inside, sat down, and left - and NO ONE SAID ANYTHING TO ME! Not one word. people looked, but no one said anything. SO CRAZY! i was seriously in shock. it was AWESOMEEEEEEE. Not only was that awesome, but Zoe was too. She walked with her leash like a good doggie, sat down right next to me, and didnt really move the enitre movie. like she is SUCH an amazing dog.

Anyway. That's just one reason why she is so wonderful. She really does act like a person. Sometimes she will insist on crawling into our laps (which she really is WAY too big for but it's hard to say no to something so cute), she tries to communicate, she understands a lot of words, phrases, and specific body language... the list is endless!

ANYWAY, to illustrate my point a little, here are some videos displaying them. If you don't feel like watching them, AT LEAST watch the Extreme Sheep Herding video.

Oh my gosh Ashley - I think my husband and I saw your husband in Provo a while back with Zoe riding in the back in the milk crate thing. We laughed so hard and thought that was sooo cute! She's cute. We love Aussies!
