Drivin along in my automobile.....

I really wish I would have taken pictures of the party train we had going from Utah to Texas, but having no camera doesn't really provide me the luxury of such a thing. SO I can paint a verbal picture.

The three previous nights before leaving to come back to the great state, I had so much on my plate to do. I had to pack up the last of Lance's stuff he didn't get a chance to do, pack up MY place (and any of you who know me, know that's an adventure all in its self), MOVE my stuff to my darling friend Cami who let me use an (entire!) spare room to store all my things and my bed (....my dad ended up borrowing a trailer from Bill Beifuss to do this.... that's kind of embarrassing. but in my defense, I decorated and provided my whole apt with dishes/spices/pots and pans....), I had to finish writing my 5 lesson plan unit, a 8 page critical theory analysis paper, a few loose end assignments, two finals, AND white-glove-cleaned my apartment. I somehow managed to do all of this within less than three days... granted I didnt get any sleep, but I am 22 with no real obligations (kids, family, etc...), so I guess if i couldn't do this with out being dead there's something not right here, right?

Anyway, Thursday, my dad came and picked me up in his truck right after I finished my final at about 3:30. We met up with CJ and Virginia Ingram (who were in my car) and Bill with his buddy in their truck down by the mouth of Price Canyon. Dad and I chatted for about 30 minutes (something I love doing if I ever get the chance, he's a fountain of knowledge...and it's never boring either), and i crawled into the backseat and passed out until we stopped for gas in Moab, where I woke up in a puddle of drool and hadn't moved at from the position I laid down in. I guess that means i was tired?

So I hopped into the car with Virg and CJ until another 4 hours passed, where we stopped again. Virg got into the Magic School Bus (dad's truck) and we kept going. I always love taking roadtrips, but particularly with my brother. We will talk back and forth for hours about everything with out even realizing how much time has passed. It's one of my favorite thing to do, and it's sad because this very well could be one of the last ones i take with him, at least for a while. We stopped around midnight where CJ took over for dad and virg got into the car with me. I drove from midnight till about 9 am, where virg got her turn. It was a pretty quick-feeling trip over all, but roadtrips always seem to take their toll no matter what.

HOWEVER, it had been two weeks since i'd seen lancey, so of course i didnt stop to take a nap. Only long enough to shower so i didn't scare him. I made my way out to Grapevine to find him. He was out knocking doors, so he gave me the cross streets of where he was and told me to come find him. As i pulled up to where the directions where, i saw the back of his cute little head, so i drove around the street parallel so i could pull up in front of him. He was looking down when i parked, so he didn't realize it was me right off, until i got his attention by running full speed at him. When he recognized me, a huge smile spread across his face, and braced himself for the huge jumping hug he knew was coming. I didn't stay long so he could keep working, but later that night we met back up at his apartment and had an adventure at walmart. Yes, that's what we did on our first night back together, a trip to walmart... how very Texas of us.

Saturday i went to my friends wedding. I've known Alayna since about 7th grade...It's so crazy seeing everyone i know getting married and having babies, but i love it!

This was yesterday after Sunday dinner at the Coslett house. Lance just started braiding my hair out of no where.

It's been so great so far. I'm excited to see what this fabulous Texas summer has in store for me.
