Chocolate=Heaven

"Hello?"

"Katherine, tell me to stop. Help!"

"Okay stop right now!"

"I'm in the ice cream isle, i'm craving everything in sight and I really am about to buy whatever I feel like"

"Ashley NO! Don't do it. it's not worth it! Get some 100 calorie jello pudding and some coolwhip. that'll fix it."

"Whew, thanks. Crisis averted."

"Wait, haven't you been going to the gym?"

"Yeah..."

"Man FORGET that! Look here's what you do. Get in your car, drive to cold stone. Get a small but the kind with chocolate chips and cookie dough in it. Yummy. Just do it."

HAHAHAH this is a true story and it happened today. Good think I didnt listen to her last little words of wisdom. However, I did end up getting a little piece of tasty, virtually fat free low calorie heaven that really satisfied my crazy hormonal need to binge. SO if you're ever in a pickle and want to be guilt free about it, A. don't call katherine, haha, and B. 100 calorie jello and coolwhip will do you right. YUM!

I Am Thankful For....

The Utah sky:

1. I live so close to the mountains (my apartment literally is in the foothills), and most nights you can bet the night is clear and the stars are bright. Especially if you get the chance to go up by the Y on the mountain side which has a parking lot overlooking Provo, or even better, in the spring and summer up at Squaw Peak. The stars seem so close it feels like you can reach out and touch them. The milky way is almost always vivid and clear, and you can find virtually any constellation. It's the most breath taking sight, one which I hope never loses its luster to me.

(this is the overlook in provo... doesn't give the sight justice, considering it was taken from my phone, but you get the idea.)

2. It is a great way to spend a date. Lying on a blanket, looking up into the night, just talking... It's so relaxing!

3. Have you ever gotten to experience a Utah sunset? I've always thought there was NOTHING better than a Texas sunset. BUT I have to say Texas has met its match. NOT better, but equal, and different. When the sun sets here on a clear night, every bright color comes out. BRIGHT blue, yellow, orange, purple, pink... oh the pink! its quite the sight. Especially when the light starts to dance off the sides of the mountains. GORGEOUS.

(not my photo, but it is a utah sunset.)

4. Right at dusk, the sight of the skyline of mountains encompassing you feels fake, as if they were super imposed into your line of vision. I can't even explain how beautiful it is.

5. All of these things equal a testimony of the beauty Heavenly Father (and mother!) has given us to enjoy, and it is definatly something to be grateful for.
