As of Late...

SO I haven't updated my blog in forever, but that's a good thing in my world! That means I am actually OUT doing things, which as some of you know, hasn't exactly been on my list of things to do in my recent life. SO I'll let you know what i've been up to!

First of all, CJ has officially moved up here (in case you weren't aware from mine and my mom and my sister's blog. haha.) So I've been spending most of my time with him, helping him get settled in. The momsta drove ceej up here so it's been fun having her here too. Drew, my cousin, came for a little visit so that was fun seeing him. Since I've been spending so much time with CJ I've gotten to know his 3 adorable roommates pretty well, so we've been out gallabanting around doing random stuff. It's been so much fun! CJ went back to Texas for a hockey tournament, and even with out him here I've been at his house. Here's the run down:
ALL three of them served their missions French speaking (which I have to say...hearing 3 men speaking fluent beautiful French to each other is HOT)....Two of them were companions in France, and the other was just a random guy who just so happened to have served a French speaking mission (in AFRICA! COOL!). And they ALL drive jeep wranglers. Needless to say, these guys are just studs. It's so refreshing to be around fun, normal, respectful guys.

One night, on a whim, to get a break from homework, me and two of the roomies went and saw Madagascar 2 at the dollar theater (in true provo-nian style). I don't know if I thought it was funny because THEY were cracking up throughout the whole thing, but I was entertained. It was such a cute movie.

I am NOT good at Guitar Hero, but it's entertaining to watch them play. I try my hand at it but it's just embarrassing.

THEN... the other night, it was DUMPING snow outside. Like, BUCKETS. And it was the kind of snow that's fun to watch because the snowflakes were enormous and fluffy and light. One of my favorite past times is to find someone who has a jeep with the top and the doors off, and just drive around and enjoy the weather.... WELL CJ's roomie heard me talking about this and said, "DUDE we should totally go out and go offroading in the snow!" SO we did. The top was off and we had our snowboarding jackets on and had Incubus blaring with the snow falling relentlessly from the night sky with the roads completely empty (probably because most people's cars don't drive well when it's snowing so intensely).... and then we went offroading. We found ourselves going up to the Y and rock crawling around that area... SO much fun. and random. we probably looked like crazy people, because it was kind of crazy, but so fun.

THEN i've been spending a little time at my second family's house - Holly and Bill - up in Highland. It's always a good time over there. Holly is the most amazing cook and there's always some kind of game being played. Her house is like a Utah version of the Coslett Texas house - so warm and welcoming.

Tonight I borrowed Heather's beach cruiser and went on a bike ride with one of CJ's roommates because the weather was so gorgeous outside. We rode up by the Provo temple and then over to my house, where we then made dinner and invited all the other roommates to come over and eat. Good thing for costco, because i had some yummy green beans, pasta, and pre-marinated chicken in bulk so i could feed the hungry boys.

and if THAT wasn't enough for one day, after doing a little homework, we all headed over to an apartment complex called the Mill to play some indoor sand-ish volleyball.

it's a little irritating playing volleyball with people who quite obviously have never passed a volleyball in their life, but when you're in good company it's easy to be patient and make the best of it. It's always to stretch my bones and get on a court every now and then, it reminds me of the good old days when i was an awesome benchwarmer for the ryan raiders. :) ha ha. but really, it does bring back good memories. I always forget how much i love it.

ANYWAY that's about all i've been up to the last 2 weeks-ish!

laterrrr
