haha just kidding.
I HAVE, however, been asked multiple times by multiple people to see pictures of my house. It was a little bit of an embarrassment when we first moved in - it was old, dingy and just not the best looking place. It all started with dad and the first time he stayed at our house. The bathroom door to the guest bathroom was a pocket door - you know, the kind that recess into the wall, basically. Its understandable why a pocket door was the first choice. Our hallway is so narrow it seems a little silly to put a door that opens out in such a place - it can't even open all the way. Yes, I see the logic. However, the pocket door was so old that it wouldnt shut all the way. Yes folks, that means it would be cracked open about a 1/4 of an inch, and there was defiantly no sound barrier there. Lovely, I know. My dad being the very private person he is, was not happy about this. The next morning, the first thing he did was go to home depot, buy a door, and install it. Everything snowballed from there... the porch, the kitchen remodel, the ripping up of carpet etc. It's been crazy. There was about 2 weeks when I was washing dishes out of the bathtub and cooking breakfast eggs on our grill OUTSIDE in the SNOW...(there's a little coil burner on the side of the grill. haha.) This has been quite the adventure...and we're not done yet. We still have a lot of little loose ends to tie up in the kitchen, and due to a water leak we have to rip up both bathrooms and fix them, and we're resanding the wood floors and we're going to leave it at its natural blonde color, (and a paint job in the house wouldnt hurt either). SO. Here's our kind of...half way-ish point of our home makeover. I went around with my iphone, so the quality isn't superior, but its good enough for you to get the drift.
Living Room

(please note zoe's multiple toys by the chest.)

Dining area

(it's not too early for Halloween decor, I say.)

work-in-progress kitchen

(What you CANT see are the white and tan foot-thick vertical stripes in the pantry. SO adorable. The stripes will ALSO be in the laundry area, and then we're frosting these enormous glass doors so you cant see in. Im SO excited for this to happen!)

(Cabinets to be stained or painted.... can't decide yet)

(crown molding to continue around the kitchen, and more cabinetry above the fridge)

(I LOVE this mat. Thanks mom!)

(obviously, something needs to happen under the oven and by the sink. hahah)

Our lovely split-level entry

Guest Bathroom

(This wallpaper is ancient and is curling down at the top. I don't think it's the smartest thing to have wallpaper in a poorly ventilated bathroom.)

(I am SO in love with these towels!)

Our...interesting...office.

(what you CAN't see behind the curtain: all my winter jackets/hoodies + a filing cabinet + all my fabric + Lance's mission boxes... it all fits in this small little closet...and yes that is Bob Marley you see. These two posters are Lance's contribution that I allowed him to put up...)

(This picture wall was one of the first things I did to the office when we settled in to make it feel a little less drab and a little more put together.90% of it is wedding pictures - if you look closely, theres a silver frame with the stock picture in it. Whoopsies. I guess its finally time to fix that.

(this is my homework/sewing/craft station)

(my VERY adorable mousepad/notepad from Anthro)
Guest Room (aka my area. No boys allowed)

(MY closet. Lance kicked me out of ours because my clothes were overtaking his. Weird. haha)

Master Bathroom (yes, this is technically called the "master bathroom" but there is nothing master-like about it)

(Here is our Closet. I mean Shower)

(Yes folks, this is the MASTER BATHROOM toilet. Very classy, the homage to the sea. Also very adult.)

(Lovely shower door)
Master Bedroom

(This little corkboard was made for my 7 Habits class. Lance and I did it together. Pretty cute, eh? It has all our long-term and short-term goals printed out. Its such a great reminder to have those up where we can see them every day)

(i LOVE my bedframe. And I LOVE Lance for getting it for me for my birthday... gotta love KSL and the killer deals... I was very close to killing my husband because he likes to sleep diagonal. We were both sick of not sleeping well at night... The King size bed is so amazing and large. I love it.)

Tada! The End.
